Sreesh Chandra Chakrabarty

Sreesh Chandra Chakrabarty was born in 1864 in the village Shaymshiddhi in Vikrampur. He lost his parents at a very tender age. From the childhood he continued his education from the earning of his scholarships and private tuitions.

He was the head of Sanskrit department of University of Dhaka. Sreesh Chandra Chakrabarty was famous in England, Sweden, France and America as a composer of numerous valuable books. many pundits from around the world used to write letters to him asking for his opinion on different issues. His books "Kamika Biboron", "Bhashabritti", "Ritu Prodip" was translated in to different languages and became famous around the world.
