Dr.
Sirajul Islam Chowdhury

Eminent
Littérateur, professor of English Department of University
of Dhaka and writer of numerous books, Dr. Sirajul Islam Chowdhury
was born in 1936 in Baroikhali village under Sreenagar thana in
Vikrampur. His fathers name is late Hafizuddin Chowdhury.
He
was a student of Saint Gregorys School and College. He took
his M.A. in English from a University of UK where he stood first
class first. He is a littérateur and Researcher. So far
he published 50 books. He was the Head of English Department of
University of Dhaka. He received a good number of awards. He also
received Bangla Academy Award.
